| SafeDriverMiles is taking
the lead role in reversing the epidemic caused by motor
vehicle crashes.
With over 200 million drivers on the road and over
2.4 trillion miles driven each year in the United States,
driving a vehicle has become increasingly problematic.
Every 5 seconds a motor vehicle crash occurs in the
US, resulting in more than 3.3 million injuries and
over 40,000 fatalities per year, and which now cost
over $200 Billion a year.
And motor vehicle crashes aren't just a US problem,
but a growing worldwide crisis. Today, upwards of one
million people die annually in connection with motor
vehicle crashes, and according to the World Health Organization
road traffic crashes around the world are rapidly moving
up the Top 10 list of death causes, from No. 9 in 1999
to a projected No. 3 by 2020.
Not only does the act of driving itself create problems,
but also the cost of vehicle ownership continues to
skyrocket, with higher vehicle prices, insurance, gas,
and repair costs. Even traffic fines continue to increase,
as state and local governments look for new sources
of revenue to narrow budget deficits.
Surprisingly, no enterprise has ever created a meaningful
solution to help consumers and corporations alleviate
this crisis. Which is why we are determined to improve
driver safety and reduce the growing financial burden
of vehicle ownership. With our integrated driver performance
and frequency-marketing concept, drivers can earn valuable
rewards every day, each and every mile they drive, and
for everything they do to make the roads safer.
Most of us probably know someone whose life was senselessly
cut short or who was severely injured in a crash. What's
really tragic is that, in most cases, it probably could
have been avoided. At SafeDriverMiles, we feel it's
time for a new approach to driver safety.
